North London Fencing will advise you on the best site-specific solution for your requirements:

  • Post & Panel Fencing.

The most commonly used type of Fencing, this is a modular system that uses ready-made components (Posts, Panels, Gravel Boards, Trellis, etc.) to create a strong and suitable Fence structure.

  • Close-Board Fencing.

Sometimes called 'Feather-Edge', this is a popular & traditional style of Fencing, assembled bespoke on-site.

While suitable for smaller areas, it is commonly used as an economic option for larger spans as it requires less distance between Fence Bays.

In particular, it is also very useful for gardens with a gradient, as its design eradicates the need for stepping of Panels.

  • Trellis & Lattice Screening.

Fixed above Fence Panels, Bays, Walls, or as individual structures, Trellis & Lattice Panels can be used to screen for privacy, add extra height to Fence Bays, or to provide an easy growing-medium for plants.

  • Slatted-Screen Fencing.

Sometimes called 'Horizontal-Batten', this is modern and sophisticated style of Fencing, this uses Planed-Battens/Boards fixed horizontally (typically 2"x1" or 4"x1").

Higher-spec. structures will typically use Hardwoods (such as Balau) or Western Red Cedar (a softwood with an inherent fungicide) to great effect.

However, by the use of Pre-treated Planed-Softwood, elegant structures can still be provided within a smaller budget.

  • Picket Fencing.

A traditional style of Fencing, suited to both new or period properties, this simple Fencing can help facilitate a more open space.

  • Gates.

There are many Gate options, from simple area-dividers, to more sophisticated and locking options.

  • Metal Railings.

Fixed above a Wall or a Fence Panel/Bay, Railings can provide elegant decorative detailing, and aid security.

  • Security Fencing.

Mostly utilised as a deterrent for commercial premises and schools, this can also be utilised in domestic settings. Options are very varied, more popular choices include Palisade and Weld-Mesh.
